The
Fenway Victory Gardens are located on 7 acres of the Fens,
one of six Boston Parklands that were designed as the historic
Emerald Necklace by Frederick Law Olmsted in the
1800s. Today, the famous Prudential building towers over the
garden's more than 500 plots, each approximately 15
by 25. To get a sense of the layout of the gardens,
click on the following link for a Map
of the Gardens (NOTE: You must have Adobe Acrobat installed
on your computer to access this link.)
You will find the main entrance to the gardens
on the corner of Boylston Street and Park Drive. The entryway
is marked by the American Flag and a memorial garden planted
in honor of Richard D. Parker,
for whom the gardens are named.
On your stroll, you will begin with the
Boylston Section, and work your way around to the Park Section.
Simply click on the links below to open a map of each section.
Then, click on a plot to take a peak at a photo the gardener
has provided of his or her garden. (If it is difficult for
you
to see the number on the map, you can click on the icon of
the magnifying glass in the main menu.)
